About Us
I used to think order was something you earned. Wake up early enough, plan carefully enough, discipline yourself hard enough, and eventually your life would fall into place, calm, productive, under control.
It never quite worked. Not because I wasn’t trying, but because I had the whole thing backward.
Ordered by Grace started as a question I couldn’t shake: what if the order I was chasing wasn’t something to achieve, but something to receive? What if the calm, well-ordered life I wanted wasn’t the reward for enough discipline, but the fruit of trusting Someone else with the parts I couldn’t control?
That question changed how I plan my weeks. It changed how I think about my home, my rest, and the way I spend the hours I’ve been given. It didn’t make life easier, exactly. It made it honest.
This is a space for anyone caught in that same tension between striving and resting, between control and trust, between the planner in your bag and the peace you’re actually looking for. You’ll find writing here on planning and time, on keeping a home, on rest as something commanded rather than earned, and on stewardship. What it means to hold what you have as something entrusted to you, not something you own outright.
I don’t have a tidy five-step system to hand you. What I have is a conviction, worked out slowly and imperfectly: that grace orders a life more completely than willpower ever will.
If that’s a tension you know too, I’m glad you’re here.
